By fighting quantum challenges with quantum technologies, we develop and deliver quantum key distribution (QKD) systems based on entangled photons. This allows the implementation of cyber security solutions on the fundamentals of physical laws. We enable a quantum added value.
On March 12, 2025, we had the honor of welcoming the President of the Slovak Republic, Peter Pellegrini, to the Institute of Physics of the Slovak Academy of Sciences.
The new “Quantum Photonics” trade fair successfully brought together many companies, institutions and experts from research, development and application. A total of around 500 trade visitors attended the event and enjoyed excellent discussions at the exhibition stands.
For quantum-safe communication, Swisscom and Quantum Optics Jena have tested the transmission of keys for symmetric encryption. For some time now, security experts have been concerned about how secure existing encryption methods are in the dawning age of quantum computing.
Quantum Optics Jena GmbH is a startup in the field of quantum technologies and was founded in 2020. Our vision is to place the security of communication networks on the foundation of quantum physical laws and to deliver solutions with quantum added value.
