Color centers in diamonds and their application in Sensor devices and Quantum computing in the context of mobility
NV centers in diamond enable quantum metrology and quantum computing at room temperature. The talk will present current developments in NV-based sensors, qubits, and their application in mobility.
NV centers are remarkable defects in diamond and the basis of various room-temperature quantum metrology and quantum computing applications. The special feature is that the quantum state offers photonic readout. Recent developments focus on the engineering aspects to gain deployability of sensors with a NV-center based transducer as well as manufacturing issues and qubit control in NV-center based quantum processor chips. The talk will provide insights in the recent status of NV center based magnetometry and quantum computing setups and their application in the context of mobility. Needs and challenges for the enabling technologies are discussed.
